Amy Towner, also known as "The Go 2 Gal," is Chief Executive Officer of Health Care Foundation for Ventura County.
Amy Towner, is a Pepperdine University, Graziadio Business School, Masters of Business Administration PKE 139 graduate and completed the additional certification of Healthcare Management and Leadership at Pepperdine. Amy is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Health Care Foundation for Ventura County. Amy is the mother of three adult children, and was an entrepreneur at a young age of 23 yielding number in the black within months at Arcadia Coffee Brewing Company. After selling the business, moving to Ventura and in search for health care, doctors in Los Angeles recommended Ventura County Health Care Agency (VCHCA). VCHCA became her philanthropy and forever health medical home for their family. Amy also has work history in many segments of the construction and financial industry which has added to the breadth and depth of her entrepreneurial and business acumen. As “An Exceptional Woman Who Walks the Road Less Traveled” as a Lorraine Segil Scholar recipient, lifelong mentoring with a cohort of other exceptional women is a privilege and a calling to foster and network the future business leaders.
In 2012, County of Ventura leadership called her to establish a foundation to exclusively serve VCHCA and thus Health Care Foundation for Ventura County was formed in November 2014. In 2019 Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties named Amy a Champion in Health Care through Pacific Coast Business Times. Amy is an active member of National Association of Health Care Philanthropy, board member of Association of Fundraising Professionals – Santa Barbara/Ventura County Chapter, board member of Ventura Chamber of Commerce, Ventura Downtown Lions Club member, sustaining Patroness of National Charity League, a Pepperdine Associate and Alumni Leadership Council who enjoys healthy cooking and entertaining, walking the beach and audio books.
