Gabriel C. Olmos
President & CEO, at Ventura Pacific Company
I was born and raised in California’s Central Valley. My father, Mike, worked in city government, eventually becoming the City Manager of Visalia. He is currently the President of the Governing Board of Directors for Kaweah Delta Health Care District. My mother, Gail, worked in accounting for an insurance agency. I have an older brother, Nate, who is a correctional officer in Chowchilla. I am married to Melinda, the daughter of dairy farmers from Pixley, and we have five children. We are members of Cornerstone Community Church in Moorpark.
I am currently the President & CEO of Ventura Pacific Company, an eighty-year-old agriculture cooperative based in Oxnard. Prior to this I was the Chief Operating Officer for a global manufacturer of light industrial equipment focused on agriculture, and before that a Vice President at Paramount Citrus. I own 200 acres of citrus orchards throughout Kern and Tulare counties through our family farming business.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. I am on the Board of Directors for the California Citrus Mutual as well as on the Executive Committee. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Citrus Research Board.
