Dave has over 30 years leadership experience with General Contractors and Real Estate Developers in California, Nevada and Georgia. He was raised in Ventura County, first living in the Ventura Keys then later moving to Camarillo. He graduated from Rio Mesa High School, and then from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo with a BS degree in Construction Management in 1988. During Dave’s professional career he has built over 30 construction projects ranging from multi-family, commercial, industrial, health care, and hospitality. Dave is currently managing a multi-year, multi-million-dollar construction project at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX and contributes to Business Development with his employer Austin Commercial.

Dave and his wife Wendy raised their four children in Camarillo and continue to live on the family avocado ranch located between Somis and Camarillo. Dave’s civic service includes two terms as the EDCVC Board Chairman (Economic Development Collaborative Ventura County) in 2004 and 2008. Volunteering for more than a decade with his church high school youth group as a staff leader focusing on teaching leadership skills and personal responsibility to the high school senior boys. He is a founding member of Iron 27, a Christian ministry teaching fathers and their sons the value of a strong father/son/mentor relationships, and also served as an AWANA leader facilitating bible verse memorization and Christian values for grade school boys.

Dave is a licensed CA General Contractor #672963 A & B, and a licensed CA Real Estate Broker #01366804, and enjoys applying his expertise assisting his wife Wendy who has a recently become a top producing Realtor. Dave’s professional career has allowed him to live and work in three states and many cities, his favorite place to be is Ventura County, enjoying the beaches, mountains, fresh local fruits and vegetables, and mostly the people and community of Ventura County.
